Stallworth Gets Manslaughter

It was confirmed that Dante Stallworth was, in fact, under the influence of alcohol when he struck and killed a man on a bicycle in Miami on March 14th. His blood alcohol level was measured at .126 which exceeds Florida's legal limit of .08. Stallworth is cooperating with officials and supposedly turned himself in yesterday. Dante faces a maximum sentence of 15yrs in prison, though he will likely not be charged with such a severe penalty per the lack of a previous record. Sports Illustrated author Michael McCann highlights several factors that might be argued in Dante's defense that could lessen the sentencing such as the means at which his alcohol levels were obtained and the fact that he may have still been obeying the traffic laws. Overall, Dante is looking at prison time, a possible wrongful death lawsuit by the victims family and possible expulsion from the NFL.
(n):Daaaaayuuuum. This is tragic and stupid. I can't imagine how it feels to be on either side of the fence in this situation. Dante messed up big time, I wonder when these fools will ascertain that they are NOT, in fact, invincible just because they defied so many odds. This happens everyday, I'm sure, but when the spot light is on you and you've SOOOOOOOOOOO much to lose why can't a little more caution be considered? Pay your homeboy to roll with you sober and hold the keys. Maybe BLNK Girls needs to start a designated driver service...cut us a check...we'll party with you sober and then drive your ass home! Gratuities accepted!!!
