Weezy's Officially LOCKED UP
Even though defense lawyer Stacey Richman initially claimed that city officials
were forcing the rapper into protective custody, it turns out he’s going into a
regular cellblock. Correction Department spokesman Stephen Morello said the
“Lollipop” singer will have “general population escort” status.
That means he’ll be escorted by a correction captain when outside of his housing unit just like gang members. Inside, he’s free to socialize under the watchful eye of
guards with the 17 men on his cellblock – or stay locked in his cell.
“It’s his choice,” Morello said.
He said the agency never got a request from Lil Wayne to be treated like any other inmate – and Richman conceded she never made one because she assumed it would be shot down.
Get off Allen Iverson's Back!!!!
Iverson recently left Philadelphia in order to care for his sick daughter. That's not good. Even worse, his wife has filed for divorce. In an amazing exposé by the Philadelphia Inquirer's Stephen A. Smith and Bill Ordine, the reasons behind Iverson's fall from grace are examined.
Of course, there's talk of Iverson's legal problems, but then Smith and Ordine drop a bombshell.
One NBA source said yesterday that when Iverson was traded from the Denver Nuggets to the Detroit Pistons in 2008, "he practically lived in the casinos." Numerous sources said he was banned from two of the three casinos in Detroit.
"Drinking and the casinos: Allen was always doing one thing, or was at the other," an Eastern Conference executive said last night. "No one who knows him can deny it."
Furthermore, the writers say that Iverson "has been troubled by excessive drinking." It's just bad all around. Larry Brown, one of the few people who ever really "got" Iverson, sums up the effect that this will have on Iverson's legacy." -courtesy of Yahoo!

Rih on GMA
(n): Dang. I feel for her...and am happy she did this. It's a shame that some people are discrediting her saying that she's coming out 3 weeks before her album drops to help with her album sales. I'm asking "so what"...her tragic break up was exposed to the entire world...why can't she get some positive outcome from it. I hope she sales 5 million records and I commend her for her honesty and her courage and her integrity. Shes' dope as hell, I'm gonna break bread and actually purchase this album too...

JayZ and Alicia @ The World Series
(n): Gosh, this song makes me want to be from NY when I listen to it...up to about 5 seconds until after it's over...then I go back to Reppin Killa CALI!!!!! Yeeeeeeee!!! But I thought this was a real dope performance. I'm not sure if it's the stadiums size, or the fact that the fans weren't allowed to rock out on the field, but the response from the crowd seemed kind of wack/dead. Not to mention the smirks on the actual Yankee's faces...are they deaf or something? I don't know, but if I was a Yank, I'd have been so pumped...I think...

Antoine Walker BROKE????
Yes, but Antoine Walker still has his home. While it’s not clear how much his house is worth, Antoine Walker’s alleged debts include the following. JP Morgan wants $1.5 million from Walker. Wachovia wants $1.5 million. American Express wants only $53,000. And Walker’s agent, correction former agent, wants $450,000. And then there are the casinos, which claim Antoine Walker wrote them fake checks; those casinos want $1 million. And one last party remains - Las Vegas prosecutors. They want Walker to face three felony counts of drawing and passing checks without sufficient funds with intent to defraud.
Walker has no current NBA contract. The Grizzlies released him last year. He has yet to comment about the charges.(Courtesy of news.lalate.com)
